Your To Do List Makeover

We got to get up close and personal with this beautiful giraffe at the San Diego Zoo!

This week I am coming to you from sunny California!  In addition to a productive work trip to a conference with our Medical Director, Dr. Larry Goldberg, we’ve also squeezed in some R&R!

But never fear, I’ve been working away from our hotel room, and frequently talking via phone with my fab staff in Marblehead.  Earlier this week, our newest clinical provider, Kelly, told me her little daughter was sick. I can remember those days all too well.  Your baby gets up at five am, and from that moment on, you feel like you’re fighting a losing battle against your to do list.  You finally get everyone fed and dressed, corral the kids into the car, and it’s off to school drop off.  You work a full day, come home to do dinner, put everyone to bed, clean up the house, and before you know it, it’s time to wake up and start again.  At some point, every parent asks themselves, when did I stop being a priority in my own life?  You realize that you’re not even a bullet point on your own to do list.

At Seaside Aesthetics, we’ve been thinking about how we can encourage Kelly and other members of her generation to stop putting themselves last on the list.  Some young people think they have years before they need to worry about things like wrinkles, but the fact is that starting early is the best policy.  Botox should not only be reactive treatment, but also preventative.  Botox injections in the 20’s or 30’s can help to avoid deep wrinkles in later years.  By not taking preventative measures like Botox and other procedures, it can be harder to prevent a face covered with hyper-pigmentation, redness, or acne.

Although both men and women today are seeking less invasive procedures with minimal downtime, these same people feel guilty about putting themselves first.  Millennials accept that aesthetic medicine is relevant and a normal part of their life as they age, and having procedures done does not carry the same taboo as the generation before them.  But they are likely to push aside this knowledge in the busy, fast-paced versions of their lives.

So now at Seaside Aesthetics, it is time to address the next generation’s aesthetic needs. This brings me back to our newest clinical provider, Kelly Pisa RN.  Kelly joins our clinical task force to treat, educate, and inform you of your aesthetic needs.  Although everyone at Seaside Aesthetics can treat patients of any age, Kelly truly understands the complexity of juggling a busy life with all the roles of a professional, mom, and wife. Additionally, her kind manner, warmth, and genuine concern combine to perfectly address aesthetic needs.

So get out that to do list and move yourself to the top guys!  It’s time to make your self care more of a priority and we invite you to Seaside Aesthetics to get started aging gracefully and feeling the very best you can!
